Annual Scholarship Program
What you learn today helps you become what you want to
be tomorrow. That's why all of us at PFCCU believe in
the power of education! As part of our dedication to furthering
education among our First Advantage members, PFCCU offers
you an exclusive opportunity to apply for one of three annual
First Advantage scholarships.
Each year, PFCCU awards three non-renewable $1,000
scholarships to graduating high school seniors. In order to
apply for the scholarship, applicants must be a graduating
high school senior and a member of the First Advantage Program.
Each spring, scholars will be given an opportunity to submit
applications that are available at all PFCCU branches or that
can be mailed directly to you.
The scholarship is our way of thanking our First Advantage Club
members who have chosen PFCCU as their financial institution.
Guaranteed Student Loans

We know that the thought of paying for a college education can be
overwhelming. And no matter how good a saver you are, chances are
you'll need a low-cost financing option to help you reach your goals.
As a First Advantage member, you are entitled to something that can
help you achieve your greatest dreams - a guaranteed student loan.
PFCCU's student loan program offers a range of loans under the
Federal Education Loan Program, backed by the federal government.
Need-based Loans (Federal Stafford Loans)
These loans carry low interest rates and payments are deferred until
six months after the student has graduated from school. Before you
can complete a Federal Student Loan application at your credit union
you will first need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student
Aid (FAFSA). This form may be found at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Bring
your award letter to your PFCCU branch and we will take care of
the rest.
Non-need-based Loans (PLUS loans)
PLUS Loans (Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students) are credit
based loans offered through the government. These loans allow
parents to borrow up to the total cost of attendance, and are not
based on need. A capped variable rate (9%) makes this a low-cost
option. However, unlike need-based loans, repayment begins 60
days after the loan is received. With this option, there is no need
to fill out a government application. Come directly to us and we
will process your loan and have an answer for you in just days.
We know that your college experience can be a rewarding one -
and it doesn't have to be a financial burden. Remember, as a First
Advantage member, you are entitled to a guaranteed student loan.

To apply for federal student financial aid, and to apply
for most state student aid programs, students must
complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid

Start your First Advantage Savings Account with a minimum $25 deposit in your account. Once your balance reaches $100, you'll earn interest on your entire account balance.
