Summer 2007
Cutting Edge of Convenience

Now that Central Ozarks Credit Union has merged with PFCCU we have an additional branch in Joplin. In honor of the opening of this branch and the convenience it will bring to our members we hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, June 12, 2007. PFCCU President, Steve Pierson, joined PFCCU Joplin Area Manager, Zelma Watts and Assistant Joplin Branch Manager, Pam Harrison, along with members of the Joplin Chamber of Commerce and PFCCU employees to commemorate the occasion. PFCCU is pleased to be providing a branch closer to your home and hopes you stop by soon.
Congratulations, Scholars!

Note from the President
It's hard to believe we are more than halfway through 2007. This has been a busy year for PFCCU and we couldn't be happier about it. We've made great progress with respect to continued growth and expansion, which means our services are now more widely available. This in turn means that we are not only able to better serve our current members, but our future members as well.
One of our new developments is the addition of a second branch in Joplin. It has allowed us to improve the accessibility of our services, bringing PFCCU closer to home for more members. A second development is the addition of our Nixa location, which has allowed us to branch out into a new neighborhood. We're thrilled to be broadening the scope of advantages we can offer and members we can serve.
As 2007 continues to move forward, so will PFCCU. We intend to continue working hard to make sure we are delivering financial solutions of the highest quality and at the greatest convenience. It's our promise to you - our most important priority.

Money & Stuff
Unfortunately our members at Northrop Grumman have received bad news. Northrop is closing this location as of July 15th. I know many of you will be left with questions about your retirement and 401-k plans and I can help - just give me a call. It is very important that you know and understand your options. For example, did you know you could start getting the money from your 401-k plan without being hit by a 10% early withdrawal penalty? I can tell you how. There is no reason to give the government 10% if you don't have to. You must also remember that the money in your 401-k plan is for RETIREMENT, and believe me you will need it. Before you make any decisions about your finances, talk to me. You will make a better decision if you know all of your options. At any rate our good thoughts and wishes are with all of you in your quest to find new jobs. Your credit union is here to help see you through this difficult time.
Kadie and Ethan are fine and spending a lot of time riding bikes. They really enjoy going out to Wilson's Creek Battlefield to ride because it is just like riding on the street. Tyler is eating everything except anything green and can now open the "child proof" caps on almost anything. Boy they sure get big in a hurry!
My services are still free to members so if you have questions about your retirement or investment plans just give me a call. I'm in your Credit Union. Oh yes! Welcome to all of our new members in Joplin. It's good to have you join us. I do come to Joplin so if any of you have questions about investments or retirement planning just call. My extension is 227. Did you notice that I did not mention Roth IRA once this time?
