Summer 2005

76th Annual Meeting of Postal Federal Community Credit Union

The 76th Annual Meeting drew a large crowd of just over 200 members and guests to Bass Pro's White River Banquet Room. Old credit union friends met new credit union friends while having a great dinner, and many won prizes like Springfield Cardinals tickets.

There was not a vote this year because no members ran against the incumbents.

It looks like Ethan is going to get a shop vac for his birthday. Cleaning up after his Dad seems to be his job and one of those shop vacs will be easier to handle than the big one his dad has. The boy REALLY like to vac! What a kid!!! Kadie is just the best hugger that ever was. She is going to start dance lessons this summer. Grandchildren truly are the joy of older age; Lord knows the older people need some joy.

If there is a topic for seminar that you would like me to address please call and let me know. Remember that i come to you, as a credit union member benefit, at no cost. If you have a question about your investments or your retirement plan give me a call. My extension is 227.

Note from the President
by Steve Pierson

At Postal Federal Community Credit Union, we take pride in identifying opportunities to provide extra value to our members. It's part of what makes us different from other financial institutions. In fact, it's what makes us the very best.

Aside from providing families throughout southwest Missouri with outstanding financial services, we also provide educational opportunities to help our members make the most out of their finances. Our seminars are a perfect example. We'll soon be holding a Credit Scoring Seminar and a Homebuyer's Seminar. These are great opportunities to learn from the experts on topics that hit close to home.

In addition, we look for ways to give back to our members, such as with our 1% vehicle loan rebate. We are thrilled that so many of our members are taking advantage of this excellent program. Anyone who refinances an eligible vehicle loan can refinance it at Postal Federal Community Credit Union for a 1% cash-back rebate--or we'll apply the credit to your loan. It's a great benefit for members, and it's our way of saying thanks to our members. We truly appreciate your business.

Programs like this 1% cash rebate (or "Ree-bate!" as our friendly frog would say) are just one more way the folks here at PFCCU are working hard to be the very best. That's our reputation, and we're living up to it each and every day, with your help. Thanks for the opportunity.

Let your dreams take root.

A Resort for All Seasons Becomes New Employee Group

Located 10 miles south of Branson, Missouri on Table Rock Lake and tucked into the wooded hillsides of the Ozark Mountains lies Big Cedar Lodge. This popular vacation paradise - complete with Jack Nicklaus, Top of the Rock, signature gold course and Dogwood Canyon Nature Park is a wonderfully unique product - one that is epitomized by the truly warm and sincere hospitality of staff. Their staff's commitment to excellence is also evident in the incredible attention to detail and depth of quality found throughout all of their structures and the preserved wilderness environment that surrounds the resort.

Much of their success relies on their ability to deliver impeccable service. This year-round tourist business employs over 500 employees, and to keep great employees that deliver impeccable service they do believe in providing their employees with great company benefits like credit union membership.

"Credit unions can be a tremendous financial assistance to people who aren't comfortable in dealing with larger financial institutions. Credit unions offer a more member oriented, people friendly atmosphere and offer employees a financial alternative as part of their benefit package," says Gary Lambert, Director of Human Resources. PFCCU welcomes the employees of Big Cedar, Top of the Rock Gold Course and Dogwood Canyon Nature Park to our credit union family.

If your business or a business that you know is interested in credit union benefits for its employees, please call Jill Bishop, Vice President Marketing/Business Development at 887-1983, ext 312.
