New Benefit of PFCCU Membership:
BALANCE Financial Fitness Program
PFCCU is dedicated to helping you realize your financial goals - reducing
debt, saving for higher education, buying your first home, or planning for
retirement. Which is why we are excited to announce your newest benefit of
membership: BALANCE Financial Fitness Program.
Through balance, you have access to free unbiased money management
information and assistance. All you have to do is make a toll-free phone call.
BALANCE Counselors can answer many of your questions immediately - from how
long an item stays on your credit report to whether its better to lease or buy a
car. For more complex issues, such as debt elimination or budget development, an
appointment will be scheduled - giving you the personal attention you need to
meet your objectives.
If bills have gotten out of hand, your counselor may be able to arrange a
Debt Management Plan. BALANCE negotiates with creditors to reduce interest and
fees so you can pay your debt quickly and efficiently. As a member of PFCCU, the
program's monthly administration fee of $20 is waived.
To use the new program, simply call 888-456-2227. Counselors are available
Monday through Thursday, 7am to 10pm (CST), Friday, 7am to 7pm (CST), and
Saturday, 10am to 7pm (CST) or visit
www.balancepro.net for more information.
We recognize that money concerns have a serious effect on our quality of
life. Now, through our newest partnership, you have access to the very best
professional guidance - so you can achieve financial security faster than you
ever thought possible.
Money & Stuff

Not much good news in the markets. It's the worst market since 1930 and this
time it's everywhere in the world. Having said that ... we will come out of
this! I only wish I knew when.
The only things I am talking to members about at this time are, (1)Money Market
Accounts, (2)Municipal Bond Funds, (3)CDs. There are some wonderful bargains in
stocks out there, but I understand that most are not interested in buying at
this time. All stocks are down and most of those that have paid a good dividend
in the past have stopped paying. Just don't make the mistake of stopping what
you are putting into your 401(k)-type plans!! The growth in these plans will be
tremendous in time.
Of all the news out there the info that bothers me the most is the unemployment
numbers. When people do not have income, they can't spend $$$ and it is spending
that drives the economy.
On a better note; Jacob Elliot and Zachary Christian were born on the 15th of
January. All are doing fine and growing. Both are very pretty babies and I can
tell already that they are very smart. Kadie is enjoying school and wants a
horse. I guess I could keep one in the back yard. Ethan and I went backpacking.
Hiked in about 600 yards and had a great time. I don't think Kadie will ever be
a backpacker, but with 4 grandsons there will be plenty. All I will have to do
is "keep up".
With all that is going on in the marketplace, if you have questions about your
401(k)-type plan, just ask me. I have looked at hundreds of them and I will be
happy to explain yours to you. NO CHARGE for the services because you are a
Credit Union member. I sure hope things are better for the next newsletter. This
too shall pass.
Investments are not NCUA insured, not
credit union guaranteed and may lose value. Registered Representative,
Securities offered through B & I Co., a Broker/Dealer, Member NASD/SIPC
Investment Advisor Representative, B & I., a Registered investment Advisor.
Note from the President
We are still in the midst of an uncertain economy, but I want you to know PFCCU
continues to provide safety and security to you - our valued members. Even in
these times, we are still able to provide you with excellent products and
services at low, competitive rates.
If you are someone who has lost money in a 401(k) through your employer, we can
provide you a safe haven for your 401(k) dollars with our Individual Retirement
Account (IRAs). By moving your dollars to an IRA, you can have the added
assurance of knowing all of your money is safe and sound in one trusted place.
While other financial institutions are lending less money and cutting back on
their products, we still have money to lend. We offer great, low rates on our
Auto, Home and Personal Loans and continue to provide you with exceptional
offers on all of our products and services. We have recently added a new program
to our existing member benefits - BALANCE Financial Fitness. We hope this
program will help answer any of your financial questions.
To get through these uncertain times, know that we have trained financial
representatives on staff that will review the benefits of the credit union with
you, as well as review your personal financial information in order to maximize
what you have going on financially.
PFCCU continues to be a safe place to house your dollars and we plan to stay
that way. If you would like to discuss in further detail PFCCU's financial
outlook or your current financial situation, please feel free to stop by or call
us at 887-1983

Prime Time Members -
We Need To Hear From You
With the current economic situation, the number of attendees for the 2008 Prime

if we book a trip and the attendance is low, that is an expense that we could be
using on a benefit that could better meet your needs.
Before we book a 2009 trip, we want to hear from you. Email or call Jill Bishop
at jbishop@postalfed.org or
417-887-1983, ext. 312 to let PFCCU know where you would like to go or if you
would like to take a break this year. Depending on what we hear from you will
determine whether we schedule a 2009 Prime Times trips.
Please respond no later than April 30. We will have the final result
in the July member newsletter. Thank you in advance for letting PFCCU
know what you want.
