Fall 2006
A Salute to our Military
We want to say thank you to the men and women of the Armed Forces as they do their jobs overseas away from loved ones to protect our country. In this issue, we introduce this feature on our front page as we say thank you to PFCCU member, Jeremy Hodges who is serving as Staff Sergeant/ E-6 with the Army Rangers. Jeremy is a Reconnaissance Squad Leader in the HHC 1/17 Infantry Recon Platoon.
Jeremy was awarded the Bronze Star for leading his recon squad on over 450 successful combat patrols, among other things. Jeremy recently received a Purple Heart for being wounded in combat, his second since he began his tour to Iraq.
We are pleased to report that Jeremy has recovered and is enjoying an early leave to join his wife Angela and son Tanner. On August 3, Jeremy returned to Ft.Wainwright for the remainder of his tour. Jeremy and his family will then make a Permanent Change of Station (PCS) move to Ft. Riley, Kansas.
We Salute Our Military!
If you have a PFCCU family member serving in the military, then we would like to hear about them so we can show them our support. Contact Jill Bishop, Vice President Marketing/Business Development, 887-1983, ext.312 or jbishop@postalfed.org.

Money & Stuff

All of the Christmas Club people will soon be getting the money for their Christmas spending. You know that "Christmas Club" is
a really good idea for all of us that have a hard time coming up with money for Christmas. It sure cuts back on the ole credit card debt. Check it out! It may be just the thing to make your holiday more enjoyable. Now is a good time to start one for next year.
Kadie is in kindergarten (with no front teeth), Ethan is in pre-school, and Tyler is growing like a weed. Hard to believe he is six months old. All of them were here this past weekend and I still have play dough under my fingernails.
If you don't have a "beneficiary deed" for your place or you don't know what it is, do yourself a big favor and ask me about it.
Everyone who owns a home needs one! Also, I know that I say something about a Roth IRA in almost every newsletter but I still find people who do not know about it. If you are one of those people...PLEASE call me. If you chose not to have one that's fine, but don't not have one because you don't know about them! Roth IRAs are TAX FREE! It doesn't get any better than that.
My office number is 887-1983 ext 227. It costs nothing to talk to me and I am a really good source of information. That's just one more advantage of being a PFCCU member!

To participate in our Skip-a-Payment program, just complete and return the required signature form. Click here for the form. Then mail, fax or hand deliver it to any branch up to 10 days prior to your December loan payment due date. We offer flexible options for paying your low per-loan processing fee**, and you can also opt to skip a payment for each of your PFCCU loans!
Skip your December PFCCU loan payment to get more out of the holidays. For more information on our holiday Skip-a-Payment program, call us at 1-800-864-5301 or 417-887-1983.
*Interest will continue to accumulate on your loan during the month that you skip your payment. Funds for payments made through Direct Deposit/Payroll Deduction remain in your account. Each member is only allowed to skip one payment annually per loan, and all loan payments must be current to qualify. Payments that may be skipped are those with due dates of 11/25/06 thru 12/31/06. Home mortgages, HELOCs, Visas, Overdraft LOCs and Payment Shaver Loans are not eligible for the Skip-a-Payment plan. If there is a joint borrower on the account, both signatures are required on the Skip-a-Pay request. PFCCU requires participants to have had no loan payments greater than 30 days past due in the prior six months. The first payment of a new loan is not eligible for this program. **Processing fee is $25 or 10% of loan payment, whichever is less.

Note From the President
As another great year soon comes to a close, I would like to take this opportunity to once again emphasize how important it is that we provide you with services and options that meet your financial needs. From those who are just beginning to establish their finances, to those looking for a more convenient way to manage them, we want to make sure we have all of your needs covered.
Since we understand that everyone needs a break from making big payments, we offer our Holiday Skip-A-Pay program for the month of December. It is our way of helping you to have happier holidays.
In addition, we know that convenience is a big priority, which is why we offer members the chance to take care of loans for car payments right at the car dealership. Your time is valuable, and we want to help you make the best use of it.
Finally, I would like to remind you of the upcoming Prime Time's Branson Trip. It promises to be a fun-filled evening that's not to be missed.
You can find additional details on any of these exciting offerings right here in this newsletter. As always, we truly appreciate each and every one of our members.
