To participate in our Skip-a-Payment program, just complete and return the required signature form (see link below). Then mail, fax or hand deliver it to any branch up to 10 days prior to your December loan payment due date. We offer flexible options for paying your low per-loan processing fee**, and you can also opt to skip a payment for each of your PFCCU loans!

Skip your December PFCCU loan payment to get more out of the holidays. For more information on our holiday Skip-a-Payment program, call us at 1-800-864-5301 or 417-887-1983.

Click here to download a printable skip-a-pay form.

*Interest will continue to accumulate on your loan during the month that you skip your payment. Funds for payments made through Direct Deposit/Payroll Deduction remain in your account. Each member is only allowed to skip one payment annually per loan, and all loan payments must be current to qualify. Payments that may be skipped are those with due dates of 11/25/05 thru 12/31/05. Home mortgages, HELOCs, Visas, Overdraft LOCs and Payment Shaver Loans are not eligible for the Skip-a-Payment plan. If there is a joint borrower on the account, both signatures are required on the Skip-a-Pay request. PFCCU requires participants to have had no loan payments greater than 30 days past due in the prior six months. The first payment of a new loan is not eligible for this program. **Processing fee is $25 or 10% of loan payment, whichever is less.

Dixie Stampede offers Credit Union Membership

Dixie Stampede Dinner and Show in Branson, Missouri is a fun-filled, action-packed extravaganza that everyone should experience! It's the perfect place for families, friends and groups to gather for spectacular special effects and amazing stunts by the most talented performers in the area. Billed as "Branson's Most Fun Place to Eat," the audience is divided into two teams for a friendly North/South competition while guests enjoy a hearty and mouthwatering four-course feast handed out in generous portions by dozens of costumed servers. The show has 32 horses, dozens of cast members and seating for 1,000 around a 35,000 square-foot arena.

Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede Dinner & Show, a Dollywood company, originated in Pigeon Forge, TN, in 1988, as Dolly's premier dinner and show experience. The company opened its second location in Myrtle Beach, SC, in 1992 and third at Branson, MO in 1995. A fourth location debuted in Orlando, FL in 2003.

Much of their success relies on their talented employees. The Branson show has a staff of 250 employees, which includes riders, performers, wait staff, concessions, gift shop clerks, ticket clerks, photographers, cooks and stable hands. Les Wiest, Human Resource Manager says, "We want to offer our employees good benefits like credit union membership. Credit Unions offer employees financial alternatives that might not otherwise be available to them." If your business or a business that you know is interested in credit union benefits for its employees, please call Jill Bishop, Vice President Marketing/Business Development at 417-887-1983, ext. 312.

Money & Stuff
by Gary Thomas, Members Financial Services Representative

Do women really have unique investing needs? Simply, the answer is yes. When it comes to personal finance and managing investments, there are distinct differences between men and women. Women live longer, their careers are more often interrupted by family needs, and many women tend to be more conservative about investing-often to the extent that they may have trouble reaching their financial goals. But women do have choices. You're invited to attend our seminar for women only:

Smart Women Finish Rich

Thursday, October 27th @ 6:30pm University Plaza Hotel, Kansas A room

Smart Women Finish Rich® was derived on an exclusive basis from the best selling book of the same name. The book is written by David Bach. The foundation of the seminar is the Seven Steps to living a fuller, richer life:

  • STEP ONE: Learn to Earn
  • STEP TWO: Put Your Money Where Your Values Are
  • STEP THREE: Figure Out Where You Stand Financially
  • STEP FOUR: Build Your Retirement Basket
  • STEP FIVE: Use the Power of the Latte FactorŽ
  • STEP SIX: Build Your Security Basket
  • STEP SEVEN: Build Your Dream Basket

Please call PFCCU at 887-1983 by October 21 to reserve your seat for this seminar.

Investments are not NCUA insured, not credit union guaranteed and may lose value. Registered Representative, Securities offered through Cambridge Investment Research, Inc., a Broker/Dealer, Member NASD/SIPC, CFG and PFFS are not affiliated with Cambridge.

Note from the President
by Steve Pierson

You may have noticed that my space is quite a bit smaller this quarter, and that's because I wanted to make sure you always have the information you most need from PFCCU. We have created a "Frequently Asked Questions" section in this newsletter to make sure you have the answers you need to the questions you have most often. Each quarter we'll feature the FAQs that we hear about the most, and you can always check out more at our web site at www.postalfed.org. We are sure this new section will come in handy and hope it answers your individual questions. As always, though, you can contact us directly at 417-887-1983 with any additional questions you might have, giving us the opportunity to find out how we can always serve you better.

It's easy to get started paying your bills on-line. Just visit PFCCU's home page at www.postalfed.org and follow the link to BillPay@Home. You can submit your email and account information to enroll online, and you will receive the first half of your password within minutes by e-mail. For security reasons, you will receive the second half of your password by U.S. mail.

Will PFCCU ever e-mail me for account information?

PFCCU does not ask credit union members for personal information through e-mail. Anyone who receives an e-mail that purports to be from PFCCU and asks for account information should consider it to be a fraudulent attempt to obtain their personal account data for an illegal purpose and should not follow the instructions in the e-mail.
